This little thought, this simple thought;
But a thought we can't abide
Invades our minds at funny times.
It says "Where do you think you hide?"

An island in the sea of life
Is not in fact, our destiny.
Each is a part of all who are known.
Each one makes up our history.

Though some might think that no one cares,
Though some might, in spite of what we say,
Believe that they don't impact the world.
They are dear to us in every way.

Please look at the facts and take cheer.
Each life has meaning beyond our ken.
I am worth something to someone else.
My small impact affects all men.
