Enteral nutrition provides your body with proper amounts of fluid and nutrients. The tube feeding is liquid food which provides proper amounts of carbohydrates, protein, fat, electrolytes, and vitamins.

You will need the following supplies:

  • _____ cans of _______________________________
  • _____ scoops of _____________________________
  • _____ ml water
  • Measuring cup

Preparing Tube Feedings

  1. Wipe the top of each can to remove any dust.
  2. Shake each can before opening.
  3. Keep open cans in the refrigerator and discard unused portions after 24 hours.

Reirradiation May Extend Life in Head and Neck Cancers

Nov 24, 2014 - For some patients, reirradiation of recurrent head and neck cancer can extend life. But for those with comorbidities or organ dysfunction, such as feeding tube dependence, it is likely to offer only palliative support, according to a report in the March 16 issue of the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
