Question

I live 100 miles from the radiation facility where I am going to be treated. Are there resources to help me with cost or housing or something?

Check with the American Cancer Society at www.cancer .org or 1-800-ACS-2354 to inquire about a Hope Lodge in the area to where you are seeing treatment.

Also, Joe's House is a good resource to locate local lodging resources. Host for Hospitals may also have a program in the area. This is a wonderful organization that lodges patients in "host homes." Do contact the oncology social worker in the radiation facility that can assist you with resources for lodging along with coordination and arrangements.
