Living a Conscious Life reflects being an "active
participant" in the healing process. Some of this is relayed through
the use of a bright palette. Each of these squares represents
"working" through the healing process, from yoga and meditation to
long therapy sessions identifying where the cancer came from and how
it affects my personal relationships. It was much easier to say, "Of
course I'm healed, I am no longer angry or guilty," than to admit
that, after a diagnosis of Ewing's sarcoma twelve years ago, I'm
still going through the healing process.
