Description

A jejunostomy tube (J-tube) is a feeding tube that is surgically placed into the small intestine (the jejunum). One end of the tube comes out through the skin of the abdomen. The J-tube is used to deliver nutrients directly into the jejunum if one is unable to eat or unable to eat enough to maintain adequate nutritional status.
