On Tuesday evening, November 3, 2009, the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital - Burr Proton Therapy Center and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center conducted an educational symposium at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. Nearly 500 attended "Proton Therapy: An Emerging Treatment Modality for Common Malignancies," supported by an educational grant from IBA.
