Introduction

Definition: A benign neoplastic proliferation of cells that recapitulate the basal cell layer of the normal epidermis.

Synonym: Basal Cell Epithelioma

NOTE: The tumor previously described as a basal cell tumor is now classified as trichoblastoma.
